Yesterday the BLC Partnership Manager met with Christ Church Primary and Lucia Vinzon from IRMO (the Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organisation), following Christ Church’s recent successful bid for funding to support Spanish and Portuguese families in their school. The new Kickstart project at Christ Church will include interpreters being available at parents evening, supporting parents on the Save the Children FAST programme and helping parents finding their way around welfare and social issues in the local area. IRMO are also starting up 2 new projects in Brixton for Latin American women, helping with education, employment and empowerment. We are pleased to be working in partnership with IRMO to support our local community.
