Drawing to Sounds
Mar 18 Written By Keri Smith
Listen to all of the sounds in your environment. We are going to use these sounds to represent different drawing commands. For example, If you hear music, then you draw some squiggly lines. If you are hearing many sounds at once you must pick one at a time to draw. Here is a set of rules, but feel free to make up your own rules based on the sounds unique to your environment. You could also use different sounds to represent different colors.
music = squiggly lines
human voices = small dots
bird sounds = dotted lines
traffic/car sounds = fast scribbles
machine sounds = circles
dog barking = triangles
silence = cloud shapes
person yelling = dark, thick lines
airplane = smudges
