On Monday afternoon Stockwell Children’s Centre hosting Reception teachers from our cluster schools who shared their knowledge and expertise in a joint moderation session assessing children’s work together as the children approach the end of the Reception year. Clare Bradley, Education Learning and Skills Consultant for Early Years in Lambeth, expertly led the group through the Early Years Foundation Stage assessment documentation and was on hand to support as teachers from different schools worked together. It was agreed that the afternoon was a very valuable experience for all participants. More joint moderation session are planned next month for teachers in year 3 and year 5 looking at writing.
