supporting our local community in partnership with London Citizens

On Tuesday evening, 30 parents from our local schools community came to St John’s Angell Town Primary to take part in an Immigration Advice workshop. The workshop was delivered by London Citizens’ New Citizens Legal Service in partnership with Weskin Associates, specialists in immigration, SWARM, Brixton Learning Collaborative, the Windmill cluster of schools, St John’s Church and St John’s Angell Town Primary School. During the evening 24 people received 1 to 1 support from the lawyers and the group took part in discussion and sharing stories of their own experiences in trying to get good safe legal advice. There was also a presentation on how to help parents make sure their children can obtain the paperwork they need for college and work as they get older. Thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a success.
