On Tuesday afternoon, 10 teachers from across our cluster met to moderate writing examples from children in their Reception classes. The session was hosted by Stockwell Primary School, recently judged Outstanding in EYFS by Ofsted. The staff at Stockwell shared with the group their experience of last year’s visit by the borough lead moderator, where the team aimed to show children’s learning evidenced in their whole learning environment, not just in books or through electronic records.At our moderations, our focus is promoting professional discussion amongst teachers, celebrating and using the expertise in the room.
